The principles of Chimera Fitness,
The Chimera is a Greek mythological creature with three heads, a Lion, a Goat, and a Dragon. This is a good representation of modern fitness taken from a classical culture that elevated the study of health and vitality and was formative of our concept of the ideal human form.
Three major area of modern fitness are diet, training, and supplementation. Conceptually, I think of these as Eating like a Goat, Training like a Lion, and Supplementing like a Dragon. They all work together to enhance form and function.
I will be posting training protocols and new research on diet, exercise and supplements that have been shown through scientific studies or through personal experience to be valuable in attaining vitality and aesthetic physical attributes idealized by the Greeks and maintaining those as we age.
